Get on the fence!!!

“Get off the fence” means to finally make a firm decision, take a clear stance, or commit to one side of an argument after a period of indecision or neutrality. It is used to urge someone to stop being indifferent or hesitant and to actively choose a side.

Anyone that’s been over at the pitch since Christmas would have seen that there has been a huge amount of work taking place (despite the very, very, very wet weather!). TJ, the Committee and several volunteers have been hard at work removing the old wire fence and blue and white fence posts. These were synonymous with the Club but had been run down and dilapidated of late and were in need of drastic repair.

“a newer image of the fence”

The fence has now been replaced with a brand new Twin Guard Weldmesh 1.2m high with a spectator rail and supporting gates around the main pitch. This gives a brand new and modern look to our main pitch not to mention a good resting spot when looking at matches this year!

We are organising individual and family plaques to be placed on the fence panels with people’s names on them (see below the panel for the McLoughlin’s). 400x100mm sign composite aluminum including custom inscription. The price is €200 per plaque and can be purchased through the following link click here or contact Cian Royston who can take your details.

This work is all part of the ongoing development of the Club. See more information on our Club Development here.
